Daily Kibble's Furry Faves - Meet Xena

Xena earned her way onto Daily Kibble's Furry Faves list by being one of the winners in our Mother’s Day Contest back in May. According to her pet mom, Kathie (95003 zip code), nine-year-old Xena is very feisty, loves to bark and is an excellent watch dog. Despite her size, she has a very strong bark and sounds like she is a much larger pup. However, she is mostly all bark and no bite, once she gets to know you.

Fun fact about Xena—she was actually born in Spain and came to Santa Cruz, CA from Barcelona. Her previous owner had to give her up and Kathie was lucky enough to be chosen as her new mama. In true Doxie fashion, she patrols the backyard and absolutely loves to hunt racer snakes and dig up gopher holes. What a surprise!  ;o)

Xena’s pack also includes Snickers, a senior Pekingese mix, and a Chiweenie named Rusty. When she’s not playing with those two she can be found sleeping with one of her stuffed toys.
